This master's degree aims to contribute to a leadership attitude that is able to promote an inclusive, multicultural, democratic school that respects differentiation and human rights. This seeks to support the construction of more informed, innovative and fairer schools, oriented towards today's world and aware of the important role they assume in the preparation of future citizens. The program's target audience is mainly teachers who are working or intend to work in functions or activities that directly apply to the functioning of educational establishments. Other senior staff inserted in the Educational System at central/regional level and in private or non-profit institutions that intervene or aspire to intervene at the level of management of school institutions are also targeted.

Candidates are required to meet one of the following pre-requisites:

  • a graduation or any other legally equivalent certificate;
  • a BA obtained in a foreign university as long as the program is organized in accordance with the principles of Bologna and the country has agreed to that process;
  • a foreign academic degree approved, by the Scientific Council, as being in accordance with the graduation degree aims;
  • An academic curriculum, scientific or professional, that the Scientific Council has approved stating the capacity of the candidate to follow this study cycle.

It is also required: basic digital literacy and a personal computer with Internet access.

Curricular estructure:

The degree takes to 2 years and amounts to 120 ECTS:

  • 1st year - curricular component structured in 2 semesters (60 ECTS) in which students must achieve 9 compulsory course units a 1 optional course unit;
  • 2nd year - dissertation (60 ECTS).
    Each ECTS credit unit corresponds to 26 hours of study. So, the annual workload is estimated to be 1560 hours.
