The syllabus of the curricular unit German III includes a broad range of current topics with respect to the German speaking countries, such as everyday situations and professional life. Linguistic competencies at the A1-A2 level are sistematically developed in accordance with the definition of the A1-A2 level in the CEFR for languages. The materials that are used in this unit are especially designed for the A1-A2 level.

The curricular unit German III corresponds to the level A1-A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages as defined by Council of Europe:
    Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
    Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.
    Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

The syllabus of the curricular unit German III includes a broad range of current topics with respect to the German speaking countries, such as everyday situations and professional life (to travel; life-styles; to invite, cook and eat; the body and health; clothes; the weather, landscapes). Different types of texts are used to explore the topics and to sistematically train the four linguistic competencies (listening, speaking, writing and reading skills) in the target language. Competencies are sistematically developed with respect to vocabulary and to grammatical structures. The main topics that are addressed in this curricular unit are closely related to daily activities and needs of the students, both on a professional and a personal level, so that students can be integrated into a German speaking community.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). 

Requirement for enrollment: some language skills of German at the A1 level or having passed the curricular unit German II.
