Enrollment in the course Fieldwork I (21118) will be subject to meeting certain prerequisites.
Only students who have previously passed the following courses will be able to enroll:

  • General Biology I
  • General Biology II
  • General Geology I
  • General Geology II

This measure aims to ensure that all students possess the fundamental knowledge necessary for better performance in the course, fostering a more productive and efficient academic environment

• Capacity to apply the knowledge learned in theoretical course units.
• Capacity of observing and questioning reality, identifying strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats as far as the environment is concerned.

I – Preliminary Preparation Module:
This module is conducted in an online distance-learning format and aims to provide the theoretical knowledge necessary for the subsequent execution of certain practical activities that will take place in person (face to face) during Module II.

II – In-Person Module:
This module is delivered in a mandatory face to face format and has a duration of one week (five consecutive working days). Practical activities will be guided by detailed worksheets or manuals, which outline the objectives, proposed tasks, and reference supporting materials, including multimedia resources where available.

III – Post-Field Activities Module:
This module is conducted in an online distance-learning format and involves the completion of a comprehensive global e-portfolio.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%).
