The curricular unit aims to enable students to: identify the pillars that consolidate the sustainability of the innovative capacity of individuals, groups and organizations; understanding the core of the problem because, in a globalized society, the management of people and Intellectual Capital is the decisive factor in the value creation process of all social progress; know the evolution, stages and recent trends in people management.

• Understanding the Human Resources Organization as a strategic process of Intellectual Capital optimization, investment and improvement:
• Identify the importance of human resources strategic management;
• Understanding and connect the evolution of people management in structures, strategies and organizational cultures;
• Evaluate the techniques concerning optimization of people management in organizations’ activity;
• Apply and develop Intellectual Capital effective management.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e- folios) during the semester (40 %) and a presence-based final exam (p-folio) in the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final presence - based exam (100%)
A continuous assessment component, with a minimum weighting of 60% in the final grade, based on the judgment that the teacher makes regarding the student's participation (quantity and quality) in the tasks associated with the first activities of the curricular unit that count for Assessment (either those that have an individual or group character) throughout the semester, and that focus on the respective contents of the curricular unit;
Another component, with a maximum weighting of 40% in the final grade, associated with the assessment of the final work presented by the student, or the respective performance of the same in the final activity, of a more comprehensive nature in terms of the subject of the curricular unit.

Very good computer skills; Computer vocabulary; Word processing and excel; Internet.
Basic texts are written in portuguese.
