The history of the Jewish people is completely interweaved within the culture and religion which form it and make it possible. This course unit introduces the vicissitudes of the Jews, from antiquity to their diaspora across the world, the confrontations in which they took part, and the attacks to which they fell victim, in the context of the history of Europe and of the Middle East. Judaism is at the centre of world history and, as such, an indispensable part of the contemporary cultural and religious dialogue.

E-learning.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).

Students are required to have access to a computer with Internet connection and an e-mail address as well as to have computer literacy from the users' perspective.
