Portuguese society, as a knowledge society, has been undergoing significant changes that all education professionals must know and analyse to better understand the phenomenon and educational activities in the national context.
This course aims to characterize the main Portuguese society with respect to socioeconomic and educational factors and analyse the implications of these characteristics for the development of education and planning for future educational interventions.
Thus, we will focus on R & D indicators for Portugal, including: immigration, labour, social inequality, family, qualification and certification, among others. These factors will be analysed in order to reflect on their impact on the development of education.
