Students are expected to be able to:
• read, analyse and comment on documents relating to French society and culture;
• write a reading card;
• identify, analyse and relate the impact of French geography and land-use in the evolution of politics, economy and society;
• question the main facts, tendencies and French cultural and social disruptions in the 19th and 20th centuries;
• reflect and evaluate the French demographic specificities;
• feature and understand the main moments of industrial capitalism;
• identify the periods of growth and crisis that occurred during the 20th century.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).
