In the end, students are expected to have acquired both specific and enlarged knowledge about the pre and protohistorical human past of Portuguese territory, from the Lower Archaic Palaeolithic, dated more than a million years, to the end of the Iron Age, around the 2nd century B.C. Throughout their learning, students should acknowledge the most significant periods and artefacts, from which they will develop their ideas about the economy, society and culture of these populations
