In the course we (i) aim to provide knowledge about the public participation, environmental decision processes and practices;  (ii) teach how to act in the conflict resolution on environmental disputes.

Four major themes will be covered during the course: Public Participation in Environmental Management; Strengthening Civil Society for Environmental Management; The Role of Civil Society in Monitoring, Assessment and Oversight of Environmental Regulations and Policies; and Public Participation and Environmental Disputes.

Blended learning.

Evaluation is made on individual basis and it involves the coexistence of two modes: continuous assessment (60%) and final evaluation (40%). Further information is detailed in the Learning Agreement of the course unit.
