The Curricular Unit of Psychosocial Intervention aims to understand the methodology of psychosocial intervention from a Social Work perspective, which aims to:
•    Identify the object of psychosocial intervention and its relationship with Social Work;
•    Situate the psychosocial intervention in the various procedural dynamics of Social Work with emphasis on the individualization of the intervention and the systemic contributions to the understanding of the whole;
•    Apply the methodology of psychosocial intervention in different socio-cultural contexts, family and individual, identifying complementary techniques to the help relationship;
•    Situate the challenges and defend a critical position, from the application of psychosocial intervention in contemporary times.

At the same time, aspects of methods and techniques of the Psychosocial Intervention process are analyzed and other complementary integration techniques are presented. Taking into account the values in the help process, the professional / client / client / individual / families relationship is worked through reflection based on multiple practical examples. Thus, in the light of different social and cultural contexts, various techniques are exercised in the various stages of the Psychosocial Intervention process. This curricular unit makes known, also through the sharing of experiences, different ways of operationalizing the work process of social actors. In this sense, theoretical and practical knowledge of professional daily life are presented and tools are provided, aiming to bring students closer to professional practice.
