This course unit provides students with the opportunity to study, work and think about some of the themes and issues that marked and defined the Religion and Culture of the Middle Ages.
The study of the four themes proposed offers them the understanding and internalization of some of the great structural lines of the medieval mentality and cultural categories that medieval man had to face, whether in daily life or in more specific situations. By introducing the religious dimension within the the cultural and political context deserves a comprehensive and multishaped approach.
Religion and Culture
• Mastering the taught contents and matters;
• Analysing, interpreting and synthesizing data, themes and issues related to medieval Culture and Religion;
• Understanding the historical facts and processes involved in the taught themes and their association with wider matters.

Students have to perform the tasks requested by the teacher: essays, critical recensions, reports, protocols, etc. All works will be evaluated and/or classified.
Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).
