In the Orientation Seminar II, the student begins to conduct the research foreseen in the schedule of the PhD dissertation project that was prepared during the Orientation Seminar I and subsequently approved, under the guidance of the chosen teacher. Throughout the semester, she/he conducts the research activities that lead to the writing of the PhD dissertation.

The seminar aims to promote in the student several skills that are associated with conducting a scientific research:
‒ to search and to manage information;
‒ to reflect critically on relevant bibliography and its main contents;
‒ to adopt relevant work methodologies within the scientific area;
‒ to reveal growing autonomy as a researcher;
‒ to communicate with correctness, accuracy and precision the results of her/his reflection.
Contents of this seminar are specific of the topic to be addressed and of the speciality in which the research is conducted.
