In this course it will be apply the skills acquired at the seminary I to draw up a small monograph. Students will have a first contact with the techniques of investigation in History through research, selection and analysis of primary or secondary sources. The student is allowed to choose chronological and spatial scope of the little. The student should establish the largest possible interaction with the teacher and their classmates.

1. Search
1.1 Choice of Portuguese municipality to study;
1.2 Demand, collection and critical analysis of historical and cartographic sources and also the bibliography allusive to the history of the municipality chosen to carry out the work;
1.3 Presentation and discussion of the results obtained.
2. Preparation of the practical work
2.1 Presentation of a script example by the teacher;
2.2 Preparation and presentation of the work scheme by student;
2.3 Development and presentation of the final work.
Historical, cartographic and literary sources (or others), indicated as the student study option.
E-learning
The preferred assessment system is continuous assessment with the completion of 2 E-Folios:
E-Folio A = Research Project, to be completed by the end of March = 2 points;
E-Folio B = Research Report, to be completed by the end of May = 6 points (maximum 15 pages, not counting final references and annexes);
E-Folio G = Presentation of work via zoom, in June (12 point)
Exception: student prisoners and others who are demonstrably unable to do the e-folio G orally, doing it in writing with an exam (20 points).
Students are required to have access to a computer with Internet connection and an e-mail address as well as to have computer literacy from the users' perspective.
