In this Curricular Unit (CU) students will work the concepts of Environmental Citizenship, Public Participation in Environmental Decision and Education for the Sustainable Development. Concepts, Implementation and Action will be worked based on Bibliographic Research on Referential Data Bases.
This CU will enable the students to acquire scientific and technical skills to undertake Research into Environmental Citizenship and Participation and to write a Scientific Project (MSc Dissertation Project).
The Programmatic content revises the essentials concepts in Environmental Citizenship and Participation along with the analysis of case studies, projects and published research. Students work the research methodologies in order to conceptualize and structure a research project aiming to elaborate, present and discuss a research project (MSc Dissertation Project).

Upon completion of this learning unit, the student should be able to:
Identify the methodologies and dominate the resources to implement projects in Environmental Citizenship, Environmental Participation and ESD;
Apply the theoretical and practical competencies in Research Methodologies;
Apply the Environmental Citizenship, Environmental Public participation and ESD concepts and practices;
Apply Bibliographic Research methodologies and resources in a Project elaboration;
Specify an MSc Dissertation Research Project;
Develop and evaluate scientific criticisms regarding environmental issues at National and International context.

Fundamentals of Environmental Citizenship, Environmental Participation and ESD Projects preparation and implementation;
Case studies;
Procedures to elaborate a scientific project (MSc Dissertation Project);
Writing and Presentation of a Scientific Project (MSc Dissertation Project).
