The contents of this course emphasize the concepts designated by advanced scientific research. The contents are discussed based on a dynamic query and formatting of research papers that address the various methodologies in the thematic area of the course. They are coherent with the objectives as they are circumscribed to issues of style, use of research resources and formatting of that research.

Research methodologies

Academic writing

- To develop competencies in scientific research allowing the formal production of a PhD thesis;

- To introduce the methodology of advanced scientific research in view of the production of new knowledge;

- To communicate scientifically the results of an advanced research.

- Epistemological issues in advanced research for literary and cultural studies

- Advanced scientific research specific to the humanities

- The practical issues of writing a thesis project and a thesis

- Thesis writing guidelines and styles

- The preparation of the public defense of a doctoral thesis
