In this curricular unit we approach methods of Financial Mathematics and apply them in the  area of management.


Learning to apply the concepts and techniques of Financial Mathematics listed in the program.

1. Capitalization, updating and interest rates
2. Equivalence of capital and revenues
3. Real cost of financing and property loan
4. Amortization method loans

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 or 3 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a presence-based final exam (p-folio) in the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final presence-based exam (100%).

Very good computer skills with vocabulary, word processing and Internet.

Basic texts are written in Portuguese, however students are recommended to be fluent in English in order to use complementary readings.
