This course unit introduces administrative organization, the activities of the Public Administration and the guarantees of individuals. In the introduction to this branch of law, we will look at, among other things, basic concepts of administrative function and their characterization in relation to other state functions, the types of administrative systems, the structure of the administration and the forms of demonstration of administrative power. The course programme also aims at the study of basic administrative legislation, namely, the Código do Procedimento Administrativo and the Carta Ética da Administração Pública.
