This course aims to provide the fundamental elements of global business and the context of globalization in which small and medium-sized enterprises operate. First of all, we will define globalization as a process and characterize its various dimensions. The critical issue of globalization and the prevailing views, which are not always based on accurate data, will also be addressed. Part of this approach follows the teachings of critical organization studies.  The topic of the implications for the company of the various dimensions of globalization (economic, cultural, political, social and managerial) will be addressed. The themes of risk and uncertainty in international trade, the opportunities and dangers of internationalizing business, and the complexity and sustainability of commercial activities from a global perspective will also be addressed.

E-learning.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).
