The syllabus of the curricular unit German V includes a broad range of current topics with respect to the German speaking countries, such as everyday situations and professional life. Linguistic competencies at the A2 level are sistematically developed in accordance with the definition of the A2 level in the CEFR for languages. The materials that are used in this unit are especially designed for the A2 level.

The curricular unit German V corresponds to the level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages as defined by Council of Europe: 
 Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
 Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
 Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

The syllabus of the curricular unit German V includes a broad range of current topics with respect to the German speaking countries, such as everyday situations and professional life. Different types of texts are used to explore the topics and to sistematically train the four linguistic competencies (listening, speaking, writing and reading skills) in the target language. Competencies are sistematically developed with respect to vocabulary and to grammatical structures. The main topics that are addressed in this curricular unit are closely related to daily activities and needs of the students, both on a professional and a personal level, so that students can be integrated into a German speaking community.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%).

Requirement for enrollment: language skills of German at the A2 level or having passed in course unit German IV.
