The syllabus of the curricular unit German IV includes a broad range of current topics with respect to the German speaking countries, such as everyday situations and professional life. Different types of contents are used to explore the topics and to systematically train the four linguistic competencies (listening, speaking, writing and reading skills) in the target language. Competencies are systematically developed with respect to vocabulary and to grammatical structures. The main topics that are addressed in this curricular unit are closely related to daily activities and needs of the students, both on a professional and a personal level, so that students can be integrated into a German speaking community.
