Provide knowledge about the concepts of value of money in time and concepts such as initial capital, final capital, interest, as well as calculations with different capitalization regimes. With the knowledge of these introductory concepts, problems of financial equivalence of capital and interest, financial rents, payment options and loan repayment will be addressed.

After completing this unit, students should be able to:

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 or 3 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final evaluation (e-folio global) in the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).
