This course unit aims introducing the main concepts regarding organisation management and studying models and theories of internal and external strategic analysis. Futhermore allows reviewing organisations globalisation and internationalisation strategies, studying people and teams management techniques and corporate social responsibility.

· Critically analyze organizational contexts and problems, mobilizing knowledge of management, economics, finance, accounting, law, and marketing to support informed, ethical, and sustainable decisions.
· Plan, implement, and evaluate management processes, policies, and strategies, defining objectives, resources, indicators, and improvement actions oriented towards efficiency, quality, and innovation.
· Design creative organizational solutions adapted to different sectors and challenges, through the application of management models, digital tools, and continuous improvement practices to optimize processes and support decision-making.
· Communicate management information accurately and clearly to different audiences, producing reports, presentations, and other media, both in person and in digital environments.
· Work collaboratively and ethically in multidisciplinary teams, promoting shared responsibility, dialogue, and continuous development.
· Design and implement organizational development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital transformation initiatives, tailored to the needs of organizational stakeholders.
· Manage teams and projects, applying principles of leadership, coordination, and people management in diverse contexts.
1. Aplicar conceitos fundamentais de gestão na análise de questões e problemas organizacionais.
2. Analisar situações organizacionais simples, individualmente e/ou em grupo, identificando problemas de gestão e propondo interpretações e alternativas de solução com base em conceitos.
3. Utilizar ferramentas de análise e planeamento para apoiar a compreensão da posição competitiva e a tomada de decisão estratégica, incluindo definição de objetivos, análise SWOT e identificação de stakeholders.
4. Comunicar de forma estruturada, oralmente e/ou por escrito, sobre temas de gestão, utilizando terminologia adequada e evidenciando clareza, rigor e coerência argumentativa.
5. Integrar princípios de ética, responsabilidade social e sustentabilidade na análise de problemas e decisões organizacionais.

Nesta unidade curricular, a aprendizagem foi concebida para proporcionar ao estudante maior flexibilidade na gestão do seu tempo de estudo, sem perder o acompanhamento e a interação com docentes e/ou tutores e colegas. As atividades decorrem maioritariamente online e de forma assíncrona, através da plataforma de aprendizagem da Universidade Aberta, combinando momentos de estudo individual com oportunidades de participação em fóruns, debates, trabalhos e outras atividades de aplicação prática dos conhecimentos.
O estudante assume um papel ativo no seu processo de aprendizagem, sendo incentivado a refletir, partilhar experiências, resolver problemas e desenvolver competências relevantes para o seu percurso académico e profissional. Ao longo da unidade curricular, terá acesso a recursos diversificados e à orientação da equipa docente, que assegura acompanhamento e feedback regular.
As metodologias adotadas valorizam a autonomia, a colaboração, a inclusão e a flexibilidade, permitindo conciliar a formação com as responsabilidades pessoais, familiares e profissionais de cada estudante.

Assessment in this subject is designed to support student learning throughout the semester, valuing not only the results achieved, but also the process of knowledge construction.
