This learning unit (LU) intends to give students knowledge in the area of multimedia content production. We’ll describe the different types of multimedia information with which we can work (text, audio, image, video), as well as the ways in which they can be used, and the constraints involved. We’ll discuss algorithms and techniques used to process those contents, and teach how to create high-impact multimedia presentations.
At the end of the learning process in this LU, students should be able to: - Identify the different types of multimedia information and their specificities - Describe how those media types can be manipulated - Program simple multimedia applications - Discriminate matters related to the storing and transmission of multimedia information - Create high-quality multimedia presentations
