The planning of information systems is a domain that overlaps with pure technological and organizational domains, constituting itself as a domain where there are situations, concerns, constructions and own solutions, but that, inevitably, have to simultaneously satisfy the respective organizational and technological changes that underlie it.

It is expected that the student when completing this course unit will be able to:
1. Understand the information systems planning process and its contingency nature, as well as the respective foundations, motivations, problems and results;
2. Identify and discuss the factors that affect success with the adoption of information systems and technologies in organizations;
3. Know conceptual frameworks, approaches, methods and tools for planning and developing information systems;
4. Master the application of methodologies for the development of information systems.

2. Information systems architecture context: organization, context, business model, architectural models.
3. Enterprise, information, application and technological architectures.
4. Models of development of information systems.
5. Creativity and innovation in planning information systems.

E-learning

Evaluation is made on individual basis and it involves the coexistence of two modes: continuous assessment (60%) and final evaluation (40%). Further information is detailed in the Learning Agreement of the course unit.
