This course gives the necessary knowledge tools for the study of the three main types of pollution: air pollution, soil pollution and water pollution. In addition, the problem of urban residues and its management is also studied. Within each of these main subjects problems like effects on human health are also studied.

1- To use and apply the obtained knowledge as to understand the essential facts, concepts, principles and theories and some policies in use in our country as well as in other countries;
2- Applying scientific knowledge in everyday situations and in the planning and implementation of specific projects;
3- Working with scientific data and information and to comment on specific aspects of ecologic research;
4- Obtaining information from several sources and to evaluate that information taking into account the scientific theories and ecological concepts and apply them to the discussion of contemporary ecological matters;
5- Using conceptual models to understand, develop and apply scientific principles.

Continuous assessment is privileged: 2 digital written documents (e-folios) during the semester (40%) and a final digital test, Global e-folio (e-folio G) at the end of the semester (60%). In due time, students can alternatively choose to perform one final exam (100%).
